"Shall I Update My Older Unsupported PC To Windows 11 Unsupported"

To answer the generic questions people are asking me at the moment on all this Windows 11 on goings.. : 

Yes, most likely your PC / Laptop it can be updated to "Windows 11 Unsupported Versions" This is possible! 👍

But it will not receive official updates or security patches! And the OS will not be as secure.. 👎

Your safest bet is to remain on Windows 10! And sign up for the extra free year of security patches and updates they are offering at the moment.

 

After that year your best options are either:

  • Pay for extended security patches on Windows 10.
  • Upgrade to a newer laptop.
  • Purchase a 2nd hand slightly newer model of Laptop / PC and it can then be refurbished! - "As long as they have a: Intel 8th gen, AMD Ryzen 2nd gen or newer model of cpu's (less than 5 years old abouts..) it should support Windows 11".
  • Replace the Windows OS for a Linux based OS that will continue getting updates on the older hardware. - "This is the best, cheapest & saftest option when continuing to use older machines.."
  • Or Risk using it with the older Windows 10 or Unsupported Window 11 Versions.. - "This is fine for general PC using & web surfing but if you are: Making Purchases, Banking or Keeping Personal Files & Secure Data on the PC, I do not recommend this". 

 

"Its a shame all these decent Windows 10 Machines are going to be made obsolete! And especially when Windows 10 has been one of the best OS's!

But at the end of the day business's want to keep making money and producing new tech and If redundancies wasn't built into this tech stuff. I hate to admit it!.. But we would all still be on Windows XP machines.."

Why do I not have a contact number on my site?

I originally did have a contact number but found myself getting lots of junk calls and long winded technical support calls.. Which when doing these repairs part time, it is not possible for that level of service..
